Who We Are

DadQuests is an app that helps parents find fun, age-appropriate activities for their kids. When we say “we,” “us,” or “our,” we mean the team behind DadQuests.

What Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address — so you can log in and we can send important updates
• Password — securely hashed, never stored in plain text

We use Supabase for authentication and data storage. Your data is encrypted and stored securely.

Child Information

To personalize activities, we ask for:

• Child's first name — to make the app feel personal
• Date of birth — to show age-appropriate activities

We don't collect photos, last names, or any other identifying information about your children.

Activity Data

We track how you use the app:

• Which activities you complete, skip, or save
• Your preferences (indoor/outdoor, mess level, duration)
• When you use the app (to send daily quests at the right time)

This helps us recommend better activities and improve the app.

Payment Information

We use Stripe to process payments. We never see or store your credit card number. Stripe handles all payment data according to PCI compliance standards.

We only receive:

• Confirmation that payment succeeded or failed
• Subscription status (active, canceled, etc.)
• Last 4 digits of your card (for your reference)

Cookies & Local Storage

We use minimal cookies and local storage:

• Authentication cookies — to keep you logged in
• Local storage — to cache activities for offline use

We don't use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics that follow you around the internet.

How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Provide and personalize the DadQuests service
• Send daily quest notifications (if you opt in)
• Process subscription payments
• Respond to support requests
• Improve the app based on usage patterns

Who We Share Data With

We share data only with:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Stripe — payment processing
• Vercel — hosting (they don't access your data)

We never sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. Period.

Data Security

We protect your data with:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS everywhere)
• Encrypted data at rest
• Secure password hashing
• Regular security reviews

Your Rights

You can:

• Access your data — see what we have on file
• Update your data — fix anything that's wrong
• Delete your account — remove all your data permanently
• Export your data — get a copy of everything

Children's Privacy

DadQuests is for parents, not children. Kids don't create accounts or use the app directly. We collect minimal information about children (first name and birthday) solely to provide age-appropriate activity recommendations.

Data Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer for legal or business reasons (like payment records for tax purposes).

Changes to This Policy

If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email or in-app notification before they take effect. Minor clarifications won't trigger notifications.
